Beer should be in a ceramic mug/pot/jug, with no lid, just a cloth to keep out bugs, in a cupboard. Low alchohol content. Consumed by the whole family at any hour.
Last year, in D.C., I drank my beer in a plastic cup with a lid and a straw. Even though I was in public and surrounded by cops, no one stopped me... it just didn't look beer-like.
